A story placed into a dystopian steam-powered future, in the city of Dynawatch. The action takes place within a museum, also, 4 days before the end of the world.

I've been wanting to create a Digital Book from like ever and now I've finally decided to give it a try because I feel really inspired by the title I used for this story. I introduce you to:

Legend of the Wildcard

     'Legend of the Wildcard' follows the story of a young man called Akim, who must stop a dark Prophecy from coming true. The struggles he goes through in order to keep one sacred amulet safe are about to cost his own life. He is the one orphan son and descendent of the egyptian witch, Mara, who supposably years ago had cursed the vengeful city of Hatigar in Saudi Arabia. It was said the amulet was the only key to break it free.

    As a bad start of events approaches, Akim gets a banishing order from his pharaoh, being called a thief and a traitor, although without possible evidence. He runs away and is forced to face the enteties coming for the anherited amulet all by himself. He gets caught up eventually but his will stays strong.

    

Once arrived in Hatigar as a prisoner to the spirits of the assasssins, Akim has got 7 days to stop the evil Prophecy from happening or else, his homeland, Egypt won't ever be the same again.

(UPDATED) FIRST CHARACTER SKETCHES:

Before starting with the digital design I fastly made the following sketches in order to establish her facial features to look more unique in comparison with my other characters. I clearly remember I've wanted a tricky character, ready for whatever, so here's what I've come up with. ^_^ I only have sketches for her face because I find that the difficult part and the rest of the design I've worked it on computer. She was inspired by a real girl (some facial features+ some traits) but was transformed into an original character. The person must stay anonymous though. After all, the real world does inspire artists in creating something imaginary.



The struggle was choosing her name really, I know I've wanted something northern. Before I chose Klara at last I thought about the following: Aisa, Karin and Karina but seemed none of those went well with her personality. I kept Karina as a middle name since it has a special meaning: pure and beloved.

1. Tell us a bit about yourself? What's your name and how old are you?

My name is Klara Karina Norregaard, I am 27 years old and I am a trained archer from a small northern town.

2. Where are you currently living? Do you enjoy it there?

I am living in a very old village called Melsbo, it is located in the mountains, near the Northern Sea. Living here is hard at the moment because of our encounter with the Skottish assassins. They came here one week ago in order to prey our homes just like they did to other towns. This place used to be very peaceful and joyful before their arrival.

3. What do people always assume about you, whether that would be correct or not?

I must say, most people I meet assume they can read me as they see me, only the ones I do know best see the real truth which is that I was never understood completely by anyone. It's part of my charm.

4. Who would you bring back from the dead to have dinner with?

My brother, Kosumi, no doubt about it. He was a role model for me when I was just a kid, he taught me to be brave and fear no more. I believe he watches over me and I hope... he now rests in peace. His death was a tragedy, he was so young...

5. What is your biggest regret?

Regret? Yes, I have one. In my old village, where I was raised by my aunt was circulating this ancient legend called the 'Guardians Call'. It is said... when the 'chosen' kids with the purest hearts would hear a nature's call or the whispers from the Northwind they would know they have to leave their families behind and follow the flow inside the Never-Ending woods. I wasn't one of them, I wished it so much back in the day. My brother was... and he ended up dead. This was supposed to be a life-journey to him in order to raise his spiritual values and become a shaman with powerful powers.

6. Describe yourself in 4 words.

Strong-willed, Tough, Perfectionist and Independent.

7. How would you breifly describe your upbringing?

My parents were not around, they died on a sinking ship when I was 2. All my education was based on learning both spiritual and traditional values, my best teacher was my one grandfather, the village's shaman, a great fighter in his youth, just like a father to me and Kosumi. He taught us right from wrong and was always telling us great stories about the Scandinavian Gods. I still remember Freya as my favourite goddess.

8. Would do you care about most? Would you do something illegal on their behalf?

My friends and Kino, Kino is a kid I saved from a powerful storm, he has no memory of the past and no family, I gave him one. Currently he is a 11 years old very gifted child, one of the last of his kind, the albinos.

9. Whats your most prominent childhood memory?

When Kosumi teached me archery, he was 8 years older than me and was good almost at anything.

So starting from this Character I've decided I might start creating a whole new world.
She is going to be the protagonist in my upcoming Digital Book entitled: 'Spiritual Catenate'

Resume of the Story:

Story starts at the arrival of a group formed by scottish assassins called 'Kraaiser' , in the small Norwegian town, Melsbo. They intend to rob and kill whoever stands in their way. The cruel leader, Roberto Munro follows strictly the plan according to his king's wishes, they cross the North Sea and prey several towns on the west coast of Norway. Klara and Norris, two good friends try to plan a strategic defense for their people knowing Melsbo was about to be next. The masked assassins reach the town's sacred temple and take over the lead. Her strong spiritual bond with mythology and beliefs help her survive. She earns Roberto's sympathy by her seductive personality. After she meets his only son, Olof, a powerful assasssin and a cruel master of blades, she manages to turn him by her side and together they make up a plan to cut their 'visit' short. Other problems occur in their path while discovering mysteries and secrets which will soon reveal her one true destiny.
